Passionate about languages

Originally from Texas, I have lived in France since 2007 and I have been an English and French teacher since 2010. Among my many professional experiences, I have taught French at Southern Methodist University and the University of Connecticut and English at the CNAM, Paris Dauphine-PSL and Paris 7 Diderot. 

Professional Experience

2014 - 2022

Lecturer, Southern Methodist University

Primary instructor of French language courses at beginner, intermediate and advanced levels, adapting to a teaching environment geographically shared between France and the United States. 

Since 2011

Independent language teacher

Design and delivery of tailor-made language courses in English and French, adapted to the specific needs of each learner, aimed at developing their language skills to evolve in various professional environments, including associations and public.

Since 2016

English language teacher for college prep courses

Admissions Parallèles & Cours du Parnasse - Paris, France

  • Preparation for oral exams in English for universities: +500 mock oral exams completed since 2016. 

  • Les Cours du Parnasse: 130+ hours of preparation for the English exam for Sciences Po admissions

  • Admissions Parallèles: 200+ hours of preparation for the ACCESS, PASSERELLE and TREMPLIN exams as well as the TOEIC.

From 2016 to 2018

Adjunct lecturer - Dauphine News - 

Paris-Dauphine University - Paris, France

  • Creation of pedagogical materials (articles, listening and grammar exercises) broadcast on a website (BLACKBOARD) and a news channel in English for the university. 

  • Main presenter of the weekly newscast in English. 

From 2014 to 2018

Adjunct lecturer - international business and conversation courses

CNAM - Paris, France

  • Led conversation classes that focused on business themes, the language of work, business and enterprise through media in English (press articles, news videos)

  • Lead teacher and content creation for a business course in English for bachelor's and master's students suitable for international business students with an intermediate level.
